Kaustubh Amritkar
Hello! I am Kaustubh, a computational biologist exploring the intersection of evolution, machine learning, and protein science.
Currently I am a Biophysics PhD candidate at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, I work on understanding how ancient enzymes evolved and function. My work brings together ancestral sequence reconstruction, structural biology, and predictive modeling.
Beyond research, I spend most of time rock climbing. I love the mix of problem-solving, the physical challenge and the chance to be outdoors. I also enjoy running, hiking, and the occasional board game night with friends.
Welcome to my website!
